Walker was educated through the Germantown Friends School (Germantown Region) in Philadelphia and graduated in 1994. When she graduated from Harvard College in 1998, she went to Harvard College and earned her bachelor of Arts. Welker married John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was an acclaimed marketing director. They have two daughters. They began being involved in an affair. John, her husband is four years younger than her.
