Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He has played Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the The Killing drama, Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock, the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. He received the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, at the age of 27. In 1995, he was admitted to the National Theatre School of Denmark. Apart from his role in The Killing, [1] the actor also appeared on Borgen III, a Danish drama that was widely and critically acclaimed. He was the President of Russia in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in the Danish television drama Herrens Veje. It was aired in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm
