Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin Clooney was conceived in Beirut, Lebanon. Her first name is an'ml' and 'amal' Arabic, meaning "hope". The family of her parents left Lebanon when she was two years old, in the Lebanese Civil War, and moved to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin is a Lebanese Druze who comes from Baakline which is a village located situated in the Chouf District of the Alam al-Din dynasty. He earned an MBA from the American University of Beirut. The civil war came to an end in 1991[12]13] and he relocated to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was editor of foreign affairs for al-Hayat an Arabic-language newspaper published by Saudi Arabia. 16. She is the director of the public relations firm International Communication Experts, which is part of a larger corporation that specialises in celebrity guest bookings photographer for publicity and promotions for events. Amal was the smallest of her three children with a half-sister (Tala) and two siblings from Amal's father's previous marriage. 18 Amal was a student at Dr Challoner's High School. It was a girls' grammar school located in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, before going on to the going to university. After that, she went to St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition award. She graduated with an honorary BA degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) at the age of 2000.
