StephanieStephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to play in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was seen in Narcos (2015) as and S.W.A.T.(2017), the second and first seasons, respectively. Sigman was the daughter of a Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas), who were both born in Ciudad Obregon. She is a citizen of the United States through her father. [2][3][4] Her father, the former baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began in Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead character of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was nominated as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it did not make the cut. [9] Sigman was awarded the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her work as film critic in 2011. The next year, she appeared as Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, the Norwegian thriller.
