Taylor

Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who was able to transcend over from country music to mainstream pop culture and become an iconic figure in the pop culture. Swift also took on the entire globe through her music. Swift shed the country influences like they were an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was one of the most talented singers/songwriters in her generation. Swift could make the event personal and use it to her advantage. These skills were evident on her early hits including the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out the person she really was, and in the process, finding an audience of mass. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States and six of the singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift could build on her popularity through Speak Now almost two year after. Swift's popularity grew through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in an industry she felt was hers to be. Her popularity grew even after she changed her strategy with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
